Zoe Ramushu

Biography

Zoe Ramushu is a multi-hyphenated filmmaker and producer. She shot two New York based documentaries ‘It Takes a Circus’, her directing debut which was nominated for the 48th Student Academy Awards and ‘To The Plate’ which she produced was shortlisted for a Student BAFTA. She returned to South Africa and produced ‘Botlhale’, a multi award winning fiction short film. Ramushu is currently producing a slate of nine feature films, the first released on Netflix in April 2024. She studied Law, African Literature & Journalism and holds an MA and MSc from Wits University and Columbia University in the City of New York respectively.
