Plot Summary

Let’s Go To The Mines is an audio-visual documentary that is dedicated to the men who were brutally murdered in the Marikana Massacre in 2012. The film powerfully highlights the lives lost due to police brutality and we witness the lifeless bodies of unarmed men as they lay on the ground fighting to earn a living wage. This story focuses on the wealth miners have brought over the years to mining towns as they dedicate their lives to sourcing minerals underground. The danger of the jobs often leave families and communities displaced as these breadwinners sometimes do not make it out of the mines.
